Intro Physics Labs
First, let's clarify the penalties for missing labs. No Lab Report grade will be dropped. If you miss two labs, you will receive a zero on those reports that is factored into your grade, but there is no serious penalty. If you miss a third lab period, you will automatically fail Physics 118.
Now that we understand the penalties, let's discuss solutions. If you have to miss lab for exceptional and well-documented reasons, you may contact Merita Haxhia, the Lab Manager, at mhaxhia@physics.wustl.edu and request special arrangements. Special arrangements are never guaranteed and will only be made at the discretion of the Lab Manager. Contacting her ahead of time if possible will always improve your chances of getting special arrangements made.
